Vascular and Interventional Specialists of Prescott (VISP) emerged onto the Prescott area medical scene in 2010 to fill a void in the community and add to the existing quality medical care.
In 2010, Prescott Radiologists formed Vascular and Interventional Specialists of Prescott (VISP) to enhance and support the existing quality medical care in the Quad Cities area.
We are a group of subspecialty radiologists that perform minimally-invasive, low-risk procedures using the tools of our trade for guidance—X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan and MRI.
Our goals are to educate our patient and medical communities and to diagnose and treat people in the safest, least risky and most efficient way with honesty, respect, care and compassion.
The vascular part of our name means we are specialists in treating the blood vessels--the arteries and veins. Different diseases affect the arteries and veins and if untreated, the consequences can be harmful.
Blockages in the arteries (from Peripheral Vascular Disease/Peripheral Artery Disease) can lead to severe pain when walking and can be successfully and easily treated once the diagnosis is made. Similarly, poorly functioning veins can cause leg pain and swelling and bothersome varicose veins, which can be reversed without having to endure a painful procedure.
The interventional part of our name implies we are more than vascular specialists; we have been fellowship trained to perform dozens of other minimally-invasive, less risky procedures on many other systems of the body as well. In fact, we can treat back pain easily and quickly with pain-relieving injections and minimally-invasive procedures that will have you feeling much better in no time.
We know that early diagnosis and treatment can prevent worsening medical outcomes, so we are here to offer support and teaching opportunities to help you make the most informed medical decisions possible. Our community lectures and seminars have helped many Prescott area residents recognize that what was once thought of as an age-related problem can actually be diagnosed and treated much earlier and offer them many years of healthier and more active lives.
You’d be surprised what we can do to improve your life and we are honored to help you and your family. Please enjoy our website and contact us with any questions you have. Our community is important to us and we want you to be as healthy as possible. Please never hesitate to contact us and allow us to guide, interact with, teach and support you as you find out more information about your vascular health options.
